After playing around with compositions for hours, here are my final 5 advertisement posters for Nasty Gal. I decided to choose 5 looks of their shop website and use that as inspiration for the construction. I tried to choose images that i thought linked to each look. I think the composition if these works much better and is a lot more affective than my experimental piece (below)
Here is a little test sample for the Fashion image construction project we are working on at the moment. The brief is to create 5 advertisements for your chosen brand through the use of mixed media. This is just a play around with the type of style i am going for but as usual.. it will probably change. Think i am going to add in some of my own illustrations and textures.
For one of my projects we have to create a film/Lookbook which is then made into and online interactive page that represents the company LBB (Lets be brief). They are an online journal and are daily blogging about the next up and coming things from illustrators, Graphic designers, photographers to musicians. My idea is to film many creative people doing what they do!
This is a few clips of my friend doing his photoshoot for a project on the fashion styling course that i filmed. I used the site Magisto to put it together to get an idea of what i can do with the clips i have! Until i get my head around using film editing programs and overlaying my own graphics, this is a cool way to see how it could turn out!
This is my final outcome for a typography project we had to do inspired by a collection at London fashion week. I chose the KTZ collection and going with the south African inspired urban theme i came up with this. Im not 100% happy with this but wanted to step outside of my comfort zone and try something a bit different, it still has alot of room for improvement. All fine line work was traced from Islamic images found on Pintrest using Illustrator, then i put the pattern into the outline of the letters using Photoshop.
So i have now started my new course in Fashion Graphics and so far i love it! This is the first piece i have completed for one of this terms projects. The brief was to choose one of three words Empathy, Play and Interact and investigate that word to come up with a theme and graphic for a Sweater. This is what i cam up with! i chose to look into Native american hunting and means of survival inspired my Empathy. Let me know what you think!
Here is one of the designs i have come up with after playing around with a drawing i did a few days ago. There are endless things you can do and i can tell i'm gunna be here for days! Now i have officially been accepted onto my transfer course (Fashion Graphics) i can't wait to start and doing these designs is only making me more and more excited! Let me know what you think! also i was thinking about getting some of my designs printed on t-shirts! let me know if that's something people would be interested in!
